In their vineyard in Agrelo, the combination of agroecology and the use of Gazania cover crops is enhanced by precision viticulture and the selection of micro-parcels, giving birth to Gazania. The sandy-clay soil at 980 masl was perfect for Cabernet Franc. Harvested at the end of March, the grapes were cold-macerated with spontaneous fermentation and then aged for 16 months in French oak foudres and barrels. This resulted in a wine of exceptionalquality and character.

Aroma: Dark balsamic spice, a savoury backbone, cacao hints, and a chocolate edge. It is slightly closed at first but opens up with air
Palate: Fine, firm tannins that give the wine a classic, elegant structure and precision
Character: Savoury and spicy rather than herbal, benefiting from the Gazania flower plantings in the 980-meter Alto Agrelo plot that help regulate vine yields
