Pelleriti Selection is made with handpicked fruit. 10-day, 8-10° C cold maceration. Control- led temperature alcoholic fermentation and hand pigeage. Malolactic fermentation in barrels.
Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, 6-month bottle storage.
Deep red color with purple glints. Its aroma is complex with notes of red fruit, such as plum, mingled with spices. A delicate wine on the palate, with round tannins. Elegant and persistent.
ABOUT MARCELO PELLERITI
Marcelo Pelleriti is an award winning, pioneer winemaker of the Uco Valley in Mendoza, Argentina. He is one of the few winemakers in the world that does two harvests a year, on in Mendoza and one in Pomerol, France. He was the first Argentine winemaker to get 100 Parker Points for one of his wines (La Violette, from Pomerol). In Uco Valley Marcelo fosters the entire elaboration process; managing the vineyards, from pruning to harvest, ensuring the fruit is superior in quality. He is at the forefront of exploring innovative and traditional wine making techniques including micro-vinification.
