NEW Bouza Tannat 2023

Highly-regarded, single-variety Uruguayan red wine from Bodega Bouza, characterized by its full body, structured tannins, and aging for 14-16 months in French and American oak. It offers an aromatic, expressive profile with black fruits, mulberry, cassis, and smoke, often sourced from Las Violetas and Melilla vineyards. 

• Producer: Bodega Bouza, a boutique, family-owned winery in Montevideo, Uruguay.
• Tasting Notes: Garnet red in color, the wine features intense aromas of black fruits, plums, and blackberries, with notes of toast and vanilla. It is described as having a velvety yet firm tannin structure, providing a balanced, persistent finish.
• Vinification: Grapes are hand-harvested, followed by fermentation (75% in stainless steel, 15% in concrete, 10% in oak) at 26°C. It is aged for 14-16 months in oak barrels.
• Terroir & Varieties: 100% Tannat grown on clayey-loam soil with high limestone content, contributing to a "modern" style of Uruguayan Tannat.
